Blessed to be a Homeschool Family

When I was pregnant with our son, my husband and I prayed about homeschooling him, and from that moment we knew that’s what God had for our lives.  We have been homeschooling for 6 years, and he is now finishing up the 5th grade.  We have our ups and downs as anyone does in everyday life, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.  If we struggle with something, we just stop and pray about it and try a different way until he gets it.

I love how homeschooling works for our family, because we can learn anywhere we are.  We have school outside and I teach about the outdoors, or we go to museums and then we research things we saw.  We always find something to learn about.

I am thankful for the homeschool group and the park days and field trips that we all have.  It gives the children interaction with other kids, and it gives the moms time to talk and fellowship with each other.  It has been a big blessing.

I hear so many horrible stories about things going on in the public schools, and I thank God every day that He put it in our hearts to homeschool our son and that He made the way for us to do it all these years.  We are so blessed to be a homeschool family!

Radim and Lee Ann live in Arthur City, Texas, and have been homeschooling their son from the very beginning.

Let us know if you are a local homeschool family that would like to encourage others with your testimony.

Lee Ann, it’s been such a blessing to get to know you through the weekly park days. I’m so glad that parents of 1 child, or younger kids, have this opportunity to get together and fellowship! Homeschooling just 1 or littles can get pretty lonely sometimes. :-)

Thanks Erica, it has been great getting to know you too. You are so right, it sure can get lonely but it’s a blessing to have this homeschool group and all the support from each other! :-)
